Tax-Free Childcare is a new scheme for working families. For every £8 you pay into the scheme, the government will add an extra £2, up to a maximum of £2,000 per child. You can then use the fund to pay for childcare with providers who have registered with the scheme.
Please note that Tax-Free Childcare cannot be used in conjunction with Childcare vouchers.
Whirley Pre-School are now registered to accept payment via Tax-Free Childcare and will also continue to accept payment via Childcare voucher schemes.
We are registered to accept 2 year old funding for children aged over 2 and a half.
Once your child turns 3 they are eligible for up to 5 sessions (15 hours) per week funded by the Free Early Education Entitlement. Your child may be eligible for 30 hours free childcare. Please refer to the Government Childcare Choices website for full eligibility criteria.
30 Hours Free Childcare
This is a scheme that will be launched from September 2017 for working families with children aged 3 or 4, enabling you to access 30 hours a week of free childcare instead of the standard 15 hours.
Please refer to the Government Childcare Choices website for full information about the help you can get with childcare costs.
